Reservations and Shift Changes

Reservations and shift changes are requested exclusively through our mobile application, which is available for both Android and iPhone users. We will provide you with all of the necessary log-in information before you schedule your first shift. Questions, concerns, and general customer service should be directed to Babysitters’ Club via contact us page. We will try our best to attend to your request promptly.

Service Permissions

By using our service, you give permission to Babysitters’ Club to find a Sitter for you. Although we try to send you the same Sitter every time, this is not always feasible. Rest assured that Babysitters’ Club does thorough background checks and hand picks Sitters of the highest quality, and that your substitute will be just as wonderful!

Sitter Responsibilities

While on duty, your Sitter is responsible for the well-being of your children. For safety concerns and your peace of mind, we ensure that all of our Sitters are First Aid Certified.

While on duty, Sitters are responsible for:

• Taking care of your children
• Taking them outside
• Picking them up at school or taking them to extracurricular activities
• Preparing light meals, feeding them, changing diapers, bathing them, reading to them, supervising with homework (NOT tutoring)
• Dressing them, helping them to put away their toys and to clean their rooms, putting away dishes used by them or/and the children during the shift

Sitters are NOT responsible for:

• Cleaning the house (including vacuuming, ironing, dishes not dirtied by them and/or children during the shift, cleaning the bathroom, grocery shopping)

Services and Payment Options

Pay-As-You-Go Service: Payment is required once a month or right after the service is provided for one-time clients. You will be able to view all of your shifts and outstanding payments at any time through our mobile application. Your invoice will be sent to your e-mail on the 1st of the month or right after the service is provided, and payment should be made within 5 days.

Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Packages: Payment is required in advance. You can check your account balance and remaining hours at any time by viewing your Family Profile in our mobile application. NOTE: Packages are not refundable and non-transferable and you have 1 (one) year from the day of purchase to use your hours.

Travel: A deposit (60%) is required one-week (7 days) before the departure date. An invoice for the remainder (40%) will be sent to your e-mail upon your return. Payment should be made within 5 days.

Sleepover: Can be used for sitting sessions which start in the afternoon (at 4pm the earliest). Has to be announced beforehand, and once scheduled, it will be charged as such regardless of how much time of babysitting the family ends up using. This service can be invoiced and paid monthly or through one of the Packages.

Around the clock: Has to be announced beforehand, and once scheduled, it will be charged as such regardless of how much time of babysitting the family ends up using. This service can be invoiced and paid monthly or through one of the Packages.

Full day sitting: Can be used for sitting sessions which start in the morning (by noon at the latest). It must be reserved in advance and once reserved; the Family will be obliged to pay this rate, even if the shift finishes earlier than the anticipated ending time. If the shift lasts longer than 8 hours, each additional hour will be charged according to our standard hourly rate (either Pay-As-You-Go or through your Package). This service can be invoiced and paid monthly or through one of the Packages.

Animation: Can be scheduled for any kind of celebration or play date. Minimum number of animators that can be hired is 2, the minimum amount of time is 2h. Our service includes sending you the list with the potential games that are adequate for the space, the age group, and the number of kids you are planning to invite; preparing, buying and printing the materials needed for all the games; providing animators who have gone through animation workshop and who have been engaged by us for similar events before. Our services don’t include venue decoration, costumes for kids or animators, additional props, toys that are not needed for the games organized by us) and gift bags for the guests. This service can be invoiced or paid through one of the Packages.

Face painting: Can be scheduled for any kind of celebration or play date. The minimum amount of time is 2h. We use only high-quality face painting materials. This service can be invoiced or paid through one of the Packages.

Additional Notes

If your account goes into the minus (i.e. your Package runs out and you haven’t purchased a new one), all hours in the minus will be charged at our Pay-As-You-Go rate.

Payment is NOT made directly to the Sitter at the end of her shift.

Payment will be charged in increments of 30 minutes for each started increment (e.g. a shift ending at 10:10h will be charged until 10:30h). A minimum of two hours will be charged to your account, even for sitting requests of under two hours.

Last minute requests: For shifts requested 3h or less before the starting time, as well as shifts requested after 10pm for the following morning (starting before 12pm – noon), an additional 1h will be charged to your account on top of the regular hourly rate for your Sitting session.

Cancellation policy: For sitting sessions cancelled less than 3 hours before the start of a shift, a minimum of two hours will be charged to your account.

Package expiry: Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable and will expire after 365 days unless a new package is purchased, which will extend the expiry by additional year (365 days).

In the case of late night Sitting which ends after the last bus your Sitter can take (your Sitter should inform you at the beginning of her shift when her last bus is), the family is obligated to provide taxi fare for the Sitter. This should be given to the Sitter at the end of her shift.
